MTLC came to be when two callers, Sheldon Lawrence and Bob Tucker, both of Wichita, decided to put on a special dance on Super Bowl Sunday in 1995. They decided between the two of them, they had enough Gospel music to put on an entire dance of all singing calls. They put on the dance with the help of Circle 8 of Newton, and had over 20 squares on Super Bowl Sunday!

They decided to name the group TLC with the initials standing for Tucker, Lawrence, & Cindy, Sheldon's spouse.

They became very popular in the Wichita area and the state. Then along came Marcia who eventually became Bob's spouse. They had to incorporate her name in the TLC name so added it at the front for 'More' TLC and so we became MTLC.

They soon developed more theme dances such as 50's/60's Rock and Roll and Sweetheart dances.

They would do any theme you could think of!

Now it is over.  Bob decided to retire from calling on December 31, 2011.
